HANYANG SUJAIN GRATTECIEL

Project Information
The project was challenging from its urban context, where low-rise residences were on the South side and proceeding grand land development on the North. Hence, it intensified the vertical massing with separation reflecting the local environment and small Grein on the South. The weaving pattern design is applied on the upright mass to relieve visual oppression from its tremendous volume and describes an imaginative configuration. Considering the 59-floor elevation of this high-rise project, the top part embodied its symbolization through a Vertical Light Ring design, and the aforementioned weaving pattern is implanted on the middle layers. At the long last, by consistently inserting the recessed open balconies, the overall facade is intended to keep the architectural lingual expression with the diverse geometric pattern. For further reflection, the elevation of the podium part draws a vertical punched wave pattern accompanied by transparency to depict independence and uniformity in a street view, somewhat comparing to the weaving pattern middle section.
